Dallas DSRTF Fundraiser Set for August 19

DSRTF, The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas and Congressman Pete Sessions will host their first annual fundraising reception to benefit DSRTF on Friday, August 19, 2005 at 6 p.m. at the Belo Mansion Pavillion. The event is entitled DSRTF – Across the Generations to signify that Down syndrome cognition research can improve the lives of all persons with Down syndrome – from birth to old age.

Dr. William Mobley of the Stanford University Center for Down Syndrome Research and Treatment will give a special presentation to donors at the event about recent developments in Down syndrome cognition research. Special recognition will be given to Enterprise Car Rent-a-Car Foundation for its generous donation of $25,000 to DSRTF.
